Most people I know hate those spammy marketing emails from a retailer you bought one thing from five years ago 😂

Unroll provides a 'FREE' one-click unsubscribe service. And it actually works.

BUT, some users of the service don't know that they sell your emails to businesses as data.

An example, back in 2017, Unroll sold ride-hailing receipts to Uber. who would use the receipts to estimate the health of their competitors. Uber could deploy target marketing promos and such.

The leadership deflected, stating it acted within the terms of use that people had agreed to. We all read the fine print, yeah right.

Maybe people would prefer to distinguish whether they're the CONSUMER or PRODUCT
